Court extends Judicial Remand of Naved, two others for 14 days

Jammu, Oct 13: In a much publicized Udhampur Attack Case, Special Judge NIA YP Kotwal today has extended 14 days judicial remand of LeT Pak terrorist Mohd Naved @ Usman, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat and Showkat Ahmed.
Special Judge NIA YP Kotwal after perusal of the CD files reveals observed that all the accused have been arrested in case RC-08/2015/NIA/DLI of P/S NIA New Delhi for the offences u/s 120/120-B/121/302/307 RPC, 7/27 Arms Act, 14 A of Foreigner's Act and 15/16/18/20 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act 1967. After perusal of the CD file court further said it reveal that the investigation of the case is in progress and investigation of the case is scattered across various places of J&K and more persons are involved in conspiracy which needs to be verified while some of the co-accused are still absconding.
Court observed that the truck which used to carrying the terrorist of LeT has been seized but investigation is going on and some for the accused persons involved in this case are absconding which is causing difficulties in unearthing the larger conspiracy behind the attack. With these observations Court extended the fourteen days Judicial Remand of Mohammad Naved son of Mohd Yaqoob r/o Gulam Mohammadabad Kookianwala, Faisalabad Punjab Pakistan, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat s/o Ghulam Mohammad Bhat r/o Bhatpora Chursoo Awantipora, Pulwama and Showkat Ahmed Bhat s/o Ali Mohd Bhat r/o Village Khardermuch of District Pulwama,
Court also directed NIA to lodge the accused on Kot-Bhalwal Jail and produced the accused before the Court on expiry of the remand period and also directed to get medically examined to the accused after every 48 hours. (JNF)
