| APS BD Bari lifts Open Women's Volleyball trophy | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 13 : Army Public School (APS) BD Bari lifted the 3rd Open Women Volleyball Tournament, organized by Trikuta Volleyball Club at Government Higher Secondary School, Bahu Fort, here today.
In the title clash, APS BD Bari defeated hosts Trikuta Club 3-1 (27-25, 25-22, 18-25 and 25-21). President of Volleyball Association of J&K, Sidharth Daluja was chief guest while VK Magotra was guest of honour. The winning team awarded with a cash prize of Rs 2500 by the chief guest. Nitishi Saini was declared best player of the tournament and given away Rs 1000 cash prize. Mitali Dhar of APS BD Bari was also awarded with Rs 1000 for her performance in the final.
Speaking to the gathering, Sidharth Daluja appreciated the efforts put in by organising secretary, Mulkh Raj Sharma, who took the initiative to extend women spikers an opportunity to perform and excel.
This tournament was organized by Trikuta Volleyball Club under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K and over all supervision of Amarjeet Singh, Seema Sharma and Manpreet Kour. Vote of thanks presented by Mulkh Raj Sharma. Prominent among other present were Kuldip Magotra, HS Gill, Balbinder Singh Jamwal, Shakti Sharma, OS Gill, Akbar Ali and Suman Raj Singh Sambyal. The final was officiated by Wasim Raja Malik, Shafqit Shah and Azhar Aziz Raina. |
