Derecognise Cong, book Kurshid, Aiyer under charge of sedition: Hari Om | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: Terming the Congress as a party of Pakistani apologists and rank communalists, Prof Hari Om, senior BJP leader and former political advisor to J&K BJP president, on Wednesday urged the Election Commission of India to de-recognise the Congress party and appealed to the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, to order the relevant authorities to book Congress leaders and former ministers Salman Khurshid and Mani Shankar Aiyer and try them under charge of sedition. "They committed two acts of treason again India in Pakistan, one each against the bleeding Indian nation and the democratically elected government at the centre," he said, adding that "what these anti-nationals did and said in Pakistan could be legitimately construed as the Congress' open revolt against India and a deliberate attempt on its part to induce Pakistan to wage war on India to annex J&K". "Both former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid and former minister in the UPA Government Mani Shankar Aiyer have committed acts of treason against India in Pakistan. They must be brought to justice without losing a moment. They must be flogged in full public view so that a moral effect is produced and right signal goes across the world that the Indian nation means business and it has zero tolerance for such seditionists as Khurshid and Aiyer. To allow them to go scot-free would be to further embolden them to unleash pro-Pakistan propaganda in India, jeopardise the national interests in the state and provide an additional opportunity to hostile nations to question the very political status of J&K vis-à-vis India," said Prof Hari Om. Prof Hari Om also added that the Congress seditionists not only sought to weaken the Indian position in J&K in Pakistan itself by speaking the Pakistani language and endorsing the Pakistani sinister view on J&K, but also caused an affront to the self-respect of the very vast nationalist constituency in the state comprising people of Jammu province, Ladakh region, internally-displaced Kashmiri Hindus and refugees of all varieties, who made supreme sacrifices during all these 68 years to get the state completely integrated into India constitutionally, politically and financially. "Salman Khurshid and Mani Shankar Aiyer also insulted and abused our brave and chivalrous soldiers, who in their thousands laid down their precious lives to maintain the unity and territorial integrity of India," Prof Hari Om said. BJP leader also asked the Congress leaders from Jammu province to explain their stand on India and its J&K and Pakistan and said that if they are committed to the nationalist people of the state and India, they must rise in revolt against AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi, who, in collaboration with fake secularists, have unleashed a vilification campaign against India at national and international levels. They would be considered sinners against the Indian nation, if they ignored what the Congress and its leaders did in Pakistan to humiliate Indian, he said. |
