Kathua , Nov 18:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and JK Chief Minister including HRD and JK Education minister launched several schemes to uplift the standard of education system, took several steps but all seems to have gone in vain. Govt School Chak Dharab Khan falling under ZEO Barnoti Kathua continued the corrupt system and sent all the students in the rally of minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Abdul Haq Khan.
The minister reached here to inaugurate Common Facilities Centre and a Panchyat Ghar and the Principal ordered teachers and all the students to attend the function.
When contacted, a sixth standard female student (Name withheld) of Government Middle School Chak Dharab Khan said students were forced to attend the function while neglecting forth coming Terminal Examination. She said government launched Ladli Beti & Beti Pardao -Desh Bachao but all in papers as practically students are being used for fawning than to reduce illiteracy rate from J&K.
A teacher alleged a Sarpanch to bring children in the function to impress the minister. He said all the teachers were told to attend the function.
Kunti Devi, a peon informed that students left school on the instructions of VLW and Sarpanch. She said students will come back to bring their school bags.
The Principal said students entered in the venue during recess whereas teachers went to bring the students back. He refused any instruction from Chief Education Officer, Kathua or any Panchayat members.
There are 3 ReTs, two permanent Teachers including a PET besides Principal. Ironically nobody was present throughout the day in the premises of the school and attended the function for gathering. |
