| Narcotics smuggler held with 25 Kg Bhukki | | |

Udhampur, Nov 18: Police today claimed to have arrested one narcotics smuggler besides recovering 25 kg of poppy straw (Bhukki) during a naka checking at Jekhani Chowk of Udhampur district, a case stands registered in this regard.
"The accused has been identified as Des Raj of Saursoo Ramnager of Udhampur district, police said.
According to police sources, following an input a special naka was laid and police team intercepted a truck bearing regd no: TB29D-9485 on its way from Srinagar to Jammu."
"However on seeing police team the driver of truck was found bit bothered, police sources said, adding, "police subjected the whole truck to be searched and during searches police team recovered 25 kg of poppy straw (Bhukki) hidden inside the truck."
"Police team immediately arrested the accused and seized the truck, "police said, adding a case stands registered in this regard at concerned police station. |
