AISF takes out 'Parliament Chalo March' | | | Early Times Report Doda, Nov 18: All India Student Federation (AISF) today took out 'Parliament Chalo March' at New Delhi. The parliament march commenced from Ram Leela ground towards Parliament at Delhi. From Jammu and Kashmir, the march was led by State President along with active members of AISF Unit of JK. The main demands which were highlighted during the march included free and compulsory education from KG to PG, for opposing commercialization and privatization of education, against UGC, inclusion of Higher education in WTO-GATTS, for democratic students, union election etc. During the march, National President AISF thanked all the participants and active members of AISF unit of all state to participate in this march and making it as a successful. He said AISF will always lead such marches to press the government for streamlining the education system. Gen Sec National Unit AISF Vishwajeet Kumar while speaking on the occasion stressed upon all the participants to strengthen the AISF in their different state because its only the student organization who always remained active in promoting the education system. State President AISF Jammu and Kashmir Er Ajaz Ahmed while speaking on the occasion extended their full support with AISF national unit while organizing such programmes. He said that JK student has been deprived from getting quality education at par with promises laid down by the so called govt and minister. |
