Jammu, Nov 18: Annual congregation of Malhan Brahmin Biradari was organized at Devsthan Jhiri, on here today in which large number of members of community from Jammu and outside state participated and paid obeisance to their deity.
Banarsi Dutt Sharma, Chairman Malhan Brahmin Biradari Committe the congregation started with religious rituals amid chanting of vedic mantras and havan performed for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir and families of Malhan Biradari. He said that community congregation is being organized annually.
He also said that a community langar was organized for devotees and Parsad was distributed among them. A huge number of devotees sought blessings of their local deity who sacrificed their life for the upliftment of community.
On this occasion Malhan Brahmin Birdari Committee also elected its executive body under the supervision of Pandit Mool Raj Shastri and re-elected Banarsi Dutt Sharma as chairman of the committee alongwith other office bearers namely Vijay Sharma Malhan, Dwarka Nath Malhan, Sudhanshu, Sanatan Sharma and Naresh Malhan. |
