| Dr Deepak of Jammu presents his book to President | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 18: Dr Deepak Dogra of Jammu today presented his book titled 'The Coffee Table Book-IIT Delhi through the Lens' to President of India, Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
President of IIT Delhi Alumni Association, Dr Deepak was accompanied by other senior alumni V Sethuraman, MS Bawa, Indu Bhaskar, Sanjeev Jain and RK Jalan.
The President of India is the visitor of IIT Delhi and alumni were indeed proud that IIT Delhi along with IISc Bangalore are the only two institutes to be ranked among first two hundred top universities in the world in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University ranking this year. "This book illustrates the pictorial story of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi seen through the lens. Although a book primarily for the alumni will also appeal to all others who are associated with IIT Delhi," said Dr Deepak.
"In nutshell this book is a pictorial journey of IIT Delhi from its inception to the present day covering various facets ranging from history, students, faculty and alumni to architecture, sports, cultural and curricular aspects etc," he added. |
