Birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi observed 11/19/2015 12:35:16 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 18: An impressive function was organized today by Takshila Niketan School, Friends Lane, Talab Tillo on the eve of birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi, which was presided by Sanjeev Sharma (Panda) member JKPCC and was attended by students and the Management of school. Sharma was accompanied by the Congress activists namely, Vinay Sharma General secretary DCC, JL Koul Block President, Koushal Kumar Ward President no.32, Subash Chander Ji (Retd. Tehsildar), Janak Raj Mehra, Naresh Digra and Rinku Manhas. The function started with the floral tributes paid to Indira Gandhi by all present. Sanjeev in his address highlighted the achievements of Indira Gandhi and urged the students to read more about the initiatives taken by Indira Ji for taking India to the global arena. He said Indira Ji has still very much a living and powerful presence in our lives. Across the vast length and breadth of India she is still fondly remembered especially by the poor, the weak and the disadvantaged. Millions reminisce vividly about her concern for their welfare and well-being. Sanjeev while sharing his views with the students expressed that Indira Ji was completely dedicated to making India a strong, a self-reliant and a self-confident nation. She was committed totally to giving our country and its people a political leadership that is clear in its vision and purposeful in its action.
