Jammu, Nov 28: J&K Commercial Taxes Employees Association has welcomed the statement of Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Ahmed Drabu that the Government will come with welfare schemes for the Excise and Taxation Employees. President of the association Nazir Ahmed Bhat said the statement of Minister during the interaction with the Excise and Taxation employees in a passing out prade of Sub-Inspectors at Departmental training institute is praise worthy. He said that minister has realized that the departmental employees are working round the clock with honesty and dedication without caring about their health to achieve the revenue targets of the department and capturing regularly the offenders/tax evaders at different Check Posts of the department. They appealed the Finance Minister to readdress their pay anomalies of Guards, Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors and Ministerial Cadre employees and Technical grades for the Executive as well as Ministerial Cadre employees at par with other branches of Finance Department who are availing technical grades as the department has fully adopted IT regime. The Grades of the belt force are revised in the State Government from time to time but there is no change in the grades of executive staff of Excise and Commercial Taxes Department since Three decades, it is requested to kindly grant the grades in our favour at par with Police Department and also boost the morale of the employees by granting rewards and awards in their favour as and when they perform some exemplary job, we are the revenue generating department and expect some motivation in the shape of revised pay scales and Uniform allowances and 2 ½ day salary for Executive as well as Ministerial Cadre as the department is working round the clock at different check posts as well as in the office. |
