| Misinformation campaign against PDP | | BJP has murdered, abused Mookerjee, Mr Sagar | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 28: Opposition National Conference's general secretary and former Minister Ali Mohammad Chraloo alias Sagar has unleashed misinformation campaign against the PDP and charged it with allowing RSS-BJP with advancing the ideology of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee in Kashmir Valley.
"In J&K, there was no alliance with BJP. Our ideology is crystal clear. We can't have an alliance with a party like BJP. Today's Mufti Sayeed's alliance is not only with BJP but it is with RSS too. Core members of RSS are involved in the coalition. This is for the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir that BJP is ruling the State. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee's dream has come true. It was he who did not agree with the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. He didn't respect the Article 370 of Indian Constitution. He was arrested by the Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Abdullah. Sheikh Sahab categorically told him that we are Indians but we have a special status too. My point is that alliance in 1996 was very different. Still, I would say that it was a mistake to continue with BJP after they rejected our autonomy report," Sagar said in an interview.
Sagar is absolutely wrong. Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed has not compromised his ideology to forge an alliance with the BJP. Mufti Sayeed has got from the RSS-BJP, no Kashmiri leader could ever imagine. It appears Sagar has not read the PDP-BJP agenda of Alliance. Had he gone through the Agenda of Alliance, he would have gone to CM Mufti Sayeed to salute him for his remarkable achievement. He must go through the Agenda of Alliance. Such an exercise will help him to change his stand on the PDP leadership, notwithstanding the fact that the PDP is the NC's arch rival in the Valley and the constituency of both the parties as well as the Congress and the CPI-M in Kashmir is the same.
It also appears that Sagar is blissfully ignorant about what the people of Jammu region have been saying about the BJP, as also about the Agenda of alliance. The people of Jammu region have been accusing the BJP of letting down them, compromising its ideology, betraying the Jammu cause, causing irreparable damage to the national interest in the State and murdering, lynching and insulting Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, who sacrificed his precious life in Kashmir in June 1953 to get the State fully integrated into India.
Sagar needs to congratulate the PDP which forged an alliance with the BJP and created a situation that forces the BJP to hoist two flags and bat for two constitutions. He needs to congratulate the PDP all the more for the simple reason that the BJP Ministers enter Pt Prem Nath Dogra Hall by cars carrying the State flag and national flag. Mookerjee had not sacrificed his life for all this. |
