| Citizens demand FIR against builder | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 28: A large number of citizens have alleged that they havce been cheated and harassed by an Estate builder Kulbushan Gupta son of late Sansar Chand Gupta (Sansar Group of Mills) who has raised a multi-storeyed housing complex situated at Extension Trikuta Nagar, Jammu on the name of Florence Apartment Complex.
Addressing a press conference, the citizens alleged that Kulbhushan Gupta along with collaborated partners advertised for the sale of 2 BHK and 3 BHK flats through advertisement issued in the name of reputed Construction Company New Delhi for attracting the buyer to book the flats in the complex.
"72 buyers were lured to book the flats on their names as per the advertisement given in the Brochure and Newspaper during the year 2008. The needy buyers booked the fats and made full payment as per terms and conditions of the promoters. The project was to be completed within two years i.e. 2010 and possession along with transfer of Registrations was to be made within this period", they alleged.
Kulbhushan Gupta with his malafide intention utilized the money so collected from the buyers in purchasing other land instead of completion the construction of the said project. The project was delayed for his vested Interest and could not be completed till 2013-14, they alleged. The complex was finally completed in the yeat 2014 without internal finishing.
Only 10 to 15 flats were completed by the Construction Agency and the possession letter was offered to the buyers. Kulbhushan Gupta instead of transferring the registration on the rvsnw of buyers as per agreement deed, put a notice debarring the PMC to issue possess letter to other buyers resulting further delay.
The buyers have been deprived the right of possession till date at the cost of discomforts to the buyers.
Aggrieved buyer requested Kulbhushan Gupta for possession and transfer of Registration of the flats but Kulbhushan Gupta instead of readdressing their grievances filed fictitious complaint in the civil court just to harass the buyers further. Numerous representations made to Chief Minister/Deputy Chief Minister, IG Police and IG Crime but yield no result till date.
We the aggrieved buyers therefore seek the intervention of J&K Media for high lighting the cause before the public and Govt and request for the following relief:-IG Crime may kindly be requested to register a FIR against Kulbhushan Gupta at the earliest by arresting the culprits.
"Government may constitute special Committee involving Crime Branch, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Town Planner, Jammu along with member of Housing Ministry as per the pattern of other States like Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi to investigate and settle issues of cheating and fraud in the interest of public at large", they alleged. |
