Katra, Nov 28 : A police team headed by incharge PCP Searli today organized a drive against liquor in Katra and Reasi.
According to press release, the police team conducted drive under the supervision of Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO P/S Katra, Dr. Ashok Sharma, KPS SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, KPS Addl. SP Katra and overall supervision of.Sujit Kumar, IPS SSP Reasi.
During checking/frisking intercepted one person namely Abdul Majid S/O Babu Din caste Sheikh R/O Panassa Tehsil Reasi and recovered 22 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K excise liquor, one bottle measuring 750ml and one bottle measuring 375ml of XXX Rum from his possession.
The accused person has been arrested and registered a case under section 48-A Act, 188/RPC stands registered at P/S Katra and investigation of the case is in progress.
Meanwhile, on November, 27 - a team of police personnel headed by SI Ved Parkash of P/S Reasi under the supervision of Mohan Lal, KPS Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi, intercepted two persons namely, Ashok Kumar S/O Dev Raj caste Brahmin R/O Parthal Serbad Tehsil Katra and Sahil Sharma S/O Om Parkash R/O Didi Pangal were on way towards Katra from Reasi and recovered 40 Poly Pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K excise liquor from their possession. |
