| Kishtwar college organises Bazm-e-Khawateen | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Nov 29: In order to reach out to the women folk and give them an opportunity to have a sense of personal belongings, Government Degree College Kishtwar in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art and Culture Sub Office Kishtwar today organised a musical event "Bazm-e-Khwateen" exclusively for females at college complex. Internationally acclaimed singer Shazia Bashir enthralled the female audience who felt refreshed after taking break from their busy life.
Principal GDC Kishtwar Dr. Shafqat Rafiqui said that the aim and objective of organizing this program is to reach out girl students and women folk who hardly get an opportunity to participate in such type of programs due to one or other reasons including society restrictions, added that this program will boost and give sence of equality feel among the women flock. He hailed the role of senior college faculty members including Dr. Tariq Hussain Dev for organizing this event.
Dr. Tariq Hussain Dev said that the event cover two important aspects, one to provide refreshment of mind opportunity to participants while at the same time the program covers Gazals in college Urdu syllabus sung by the singer Shazia Bashir and provides practical opportunity to the students. He said that GDC Kishtwar will organised Urdu promotion program next month.
In charge J&K Cultural Academy Sub Office Kishtwar Gulab Kripak said that as per the directions of Secretary Cultural Academy Dr. Aziz Hajni, academy is providing full support to such cultural events added that academy will continue to organising such types of program in future as well. |
