BJP can't dictate terms to us, PDP Ministers tell CM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 29: Some senior PDP ministers have complained to Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that the BJP can't dictate terms to them and that the ministers of the BJP should look at how much work a junior minister has got in the Central government headed by the BJP. According to sources, three senior PDP ministers-Naeem Akhtar, Basharat Bukhari and Altaf Bukhari-have communicated to Mufti that calling entire BJP leadership for a meeting with him and then planting stories in the media is likely having an adverse effect for the PDP in Kashmir. "The BJP seems to be believing that it can dictate anything to the PDP. It is not acceptable. Mufti is the last person who can be accused of neglecting Jammu region. But there are set principals of governance and division of work between a cabinet minister and a junior minister, and the BJP must understand it. How much work the cabinet ministers of the BJP had given to the junior minister, it should also be explained," said a senior PDP minister, wishing not to be be named. The three senior PDP ministers, who are real face of the party in Kashmir, communicated it to the CM after BJP ministers led by the Deputy CM called on the CM complaining about some PDP ministers. According to the sources the PDP ministers had also said that if there are some serious differences with a particular minister, all the ministers should not be named and that too when there is not a single factual instance of discriminiation with Jammu region. "The BJP must understand that PDP has taken a far greater risk by having an alliance with the BJP. The BJP should now not behave and act in a matter that it tries to send down the message that it can have its terms dictated and fulfill their whims and fancies. We will not accept it as we too have political constituency and BJP should understand it better if they have interest in running this Government," said the PDP Minister. |
