Three yrs RI and Rs 25000/- fine awarded in attempt to murder case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah Sanjeev Gupta today awarded three years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) and fine Rs 25000/- to Ishtiaq Ahmed of Udrana, Tehsil Bhaderwah in an attempt to murder case. Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah Sanjeev Gupta after hearing both the sides ordered that convict is sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for three years and a fine of Rs.20,000/- under section 307 RPC. Court also said the convict is further sentenced to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment under section 4/25 Indian Arms Act and a fine of Rs.5000/- besides for three months under section 341 RPC. "All the sentences shall run concurrently. In default in payment of fine, the convict shall further undergo simple imprisonment for two months for each offence, court said and also made clear that in case fine amount is realized from the convict, then whole amount of Rs.25,000/- shall be paid to all the three victims in equal proportion as compensation who had suffered due to the act of the convict. According to the police case that one Parvez Ahmed complainant on 06/06/2007 at Bhaderwah Hospital stated at 7:45PM he was returning back from his land and when reached near his house accused alongwith Ashfak stopped his way and with a criminal intention made a murderous assault on him during the course of which accused Ishtiaq Ahmed s/o Parvez Ahmed gave a blow of toka on his head. On this police registered a case and after completion of investigation presented challan. |
