Jammu, Dec 22: A large number of displaced persons including aged men , women and children who have migrated from Bhimber, Mirpur. Deva, Batala. Chhamb, Kotli, Bagh, Poonch, Plandery and Muzaffrabad gathered under the chairmanship of their old leader Capt (Retd.) Yudhvir Singh Chib and marked their protest in favour of their demands which have already been projected to the Slate / Central Govt, from time to time. The Protesters shouted slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Humari Mangen Puri Karo, DPs Masla Hal Karo Capt Chib while addressing said it is true that Prime Ministeri Narendra Modi announced a rehabilitation package of Rs. 2000 crores earmarked to POJK / Chhamb DP's for disbursement and it seems that Rs. 2000 crores is insufficient for families of POJK. Similarly DP's issue is not being taken seriously as per J PC recommendations both at the State / Centre level for the lack of their political will. He put forward the demands like establishment of families of DP's who have not yet been registered, grant of adequate compensation, maximum of Rs 50 lakh per family except land, ownership rights for DP's 1947. 1965. 1971 (Non Camp) for evacuee property, issue of ALC Certificate to all DPs of POJK etc.POJK DP's front appealed the Central and State Govt. to enhance the amount of package and release the amount immediately so that the above said amount can be distributed to the above effected families. |
