| PAPA for weeding out corrupt elements in administration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: Peoples Action and Public Accountability today expressed grief over an unfortunate attempt by former Govt. to dilute and disturb the anti corruption laws & procedures by way of an unwanted legislation at the cost of common man's interest.
Teeth will be provided to State Accountability Commission (SAC) very shortly" but previous Govt. did totally reverse by weakening the SAC through legislation whereas "State Vigilance Commission" was shaped with a casual approach, PAPA added.
Consequently, the people of the state as a resentment rejected both N/C & Congress in assembly elections.
PAPA alleged that most corrupt officers of State which SAC's indicted like GN Qasba (former commissioner SMC) responsible for loot in crores and Talat Parvez (former CEO-Bhadarwah Dev. Authority, MD Gulmarg Gandola & Director tourism Srinagar) responsible for multi crores scams were given key postsing after a temporary gap of 2-3 months instead of permanent ousting from the job. Despite big announcements, PDP's Revenue Minister's office is directly involved in key postings of tainted Patwaries & Naib tehsildars without caring to consult Divisional commissioners and Deputy Commissioners and same is the case with its R&B Minister who had recently managed key postings of MD, JKPCCC & CEO, ERA to the known tainted faces, it added.
PAPA appealed CM Mufti Mohd.Sayeed to provide a needed momentum to his government by extending a meaningful signal to the corrupt, PAPA urged. |
