Jammu, Jan 1: Principal Sessions Judge, Udhampur, R S Jain has awarded two years rigorous imprisonment to one Jeet Singh for assaulting his brother.
According to the police case, a complaint was filed with Ramnagar police station by Romesh Kumar, stating therein that when his brothers -- Gian Chand and Makhan Lal -- were constructing their house at Morha Ramund in ward No 4, he, after calling neighbours for help, was coming back when accused Jeet Singh, having a criminal intention to murder his brothers, restrained them in a lane and attacked them with the drat and inflicted grevious injuries on both his brothers who were taken to hospital by locals. On this, police registered a case and after completion of investigation, presented challan.
The judge, after hearing the two sides, awarded rigorous imprisonment of two years to the accused, besides imposing a fine of Rs 2000 on him under section 326 of RPC. (JNF) |
