Gulabgarh XI lifts SRSM cricket tournament 1/1/2016 10:42:03 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Jan 1 : Gulabgarh XI today beat Atholi XI by 30 runs in the final match of T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by the 11 RR at historic Chowghan ground Kishtwar in memory of Martyr Ravinder Singh who offered his supreme scarifies while fighting militants at Kuchall area of Kishtwar District in the year 2007. As per the details available with "Early Times", after winning the toss, Atholi XI put Gulabgard XI to bat and in stipulated 20 overs, Atholi XI scored 159 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Opener Henan Malik scored 80 runs followed by Faheem with 39 runs. For Atholi XI, Rabnawaz claimed 4 wickets for 27 runs while Burhan, Muzaffar and Mehboob picked up 1 wicket each. Chasing a mammoth target of 160 Runs, Atholi XI lost all the wickets for 129 runs and lost the match by 30 runs. For Atholi XI batsmen Sohail score 24 runs while Burhan Qazi score quick fire 28 runs . For Gulabgard XI bowler Manzoor Ahmed picked up 3 wickets. Henan Malik was adjudged as man of the match and Man of the Series as well for his brilliant batting performance. Commander 9 sector RR, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, CO 11 RR, CO 17 RR, ASP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, senior army officers grace the occasion with their presence and later distributed the prizes among the players.
