Symposium on "Drug Abuse" held 1/1/2016 10:44:46 PM Kathua, Jan 1 : Tehsil Information centre Billawar organized a symposium on "Drug Abuse" at Government Higher Secondary School Billawar. SDM Billawar, RS Charak was the chief guest on the occasion and Principal of the School Yash Pal Gupta, School staff and large number of students where present on the occasion. 15 students participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic. While speaking on the topic participants said that elders, parents and social support groups have to play the most important role in curbing the drug menace and ensuring the social and economic rehabilitation of those affected by this menace. They said that no society can develop and progress without eliminating this widely spread abuse from the society. While addressing the students, chief guest R S Charak thanked the efforts of Information Department for organizing Symposium on such an important issue. He said proper awareness among the masses in general and youth in particular can help in addressing the issue.
