Kathua, Jan 1: A symposium on "Save the Girl Child with special focus on PC, PNDT/ Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" with motive to eradicate the discrimination against the girl child besides a bid to encourage the birth and education of girls, was organized by Health Department under National Health Mission organised by BMO Parole at Government Hr. Sec. School Budhi Kathua. Naresh Kumar Sharma Principal Govt. Hr. Sec. School Budhi presided the programme in which Dr. Vijay Bali BMO Parole was the Chief Guest and Dr. Sunil Sharma BEMO was the Guest of Honour whereas Dr. Anuradha, Dr. Mohan Singh, Dr. Pawan, Rimpy Sharma, Sanjeevan Kumar of PHC Budhi also attended the function. In this function six students participated and focussed the light on 'save the girl child'. A penal of three judges comprising of Dr. Sunil Sharma BEMO, Sh. S.D. Singh vice-principal, Sh. Bua Ditta Sr. Lecturer who adjudged Bandu Kotwal of 12th class as first for cash prize of Rs.1000, Shavnam Manhas of 12th class as second for cash prize of Rs.700, Mumtaz Begum of 12th as third for cash prize of Rs. 500 whereas Vishav Malgotra and Jyoti Rajput get the consolation prizes of Rs. 200 each. |
