| Kousar's death case: Alleging delay in probe, family members sit on hunger strike | | |  Mendhar, Jan 1: Alleging delay in justice the family members of Gulshan Kousar w/o Alm Din R/o Chhajla in Mendhar who expired on December 8, today along with locals sat on hunger strike here today and said that inquiry committee has failed to submit its report and no action has been taken against the erring doctor (physician) and no FIR yet has been lodged in the case.
Agitating family members alleged as many as three weeks has lapsed but administration has failed to initiate any action against erring doctor and chemist even no FIR has been registered by the police in this regard till date. Blaming authorities for adopting dilly dallying approach, the aggrieved family members said, "We are being ignored and pressure is being mounted upon us from different quarters to compromise so that case of the medico-negligence could be hushed up."
"We want to get justice for the deceased and will not compromise whosoever it may be," asserted one angry family member. He however added that we have full faith in administration to get our dues her further lamented.
Meanwhile DDC Poonch has appealed to protesters lift the hunger strike and assured that an FIR shall be lodged in the case very soon. |
