Poonch, Jan 1: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Harun Malik discussed the arrangements for 67th Republic Day celebrations while chairing a meeting of officers here today.
Official spokesperson said, " Threadbare discussion was held on issues ranging from security and traffic arrangements to uninterrupted power supply and seating arrangements besides illumination of important buildings."
"It was decided that Republic Day celebrations shall be held at Sports Stadium Poonch where chief guest shall unfurl the tricolor and take salute of the march past consisting of contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC besides students of educational institutions, he added.
Official spokesperson said, "Issues relating to sanitation, barricading, prize and award distribution, transportation etc. were also discussed in details. Various committees comprising of district officers were also framed to ensure proper arrangements well in time."
DC Poonch also stressed upon the officers to put in coordinated efforts to ensure smooth celebrations of the national function.
SSP, ACR, ACD, SE Hydraulics, Executive Engineers of PWD, PDD, I&FC, PHE, officers from Army, BSF, CRPF were among several others who attended the meeting. |
