BJP leaders recommend 100 names for Padamshree from J&K quota 1/22/2016 11:36:24 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 22: After attaining power both at State and Centre, some BJP leaders are thinking that they have became all powerful and they are the real king makers in the country. This mentality of BJP leaders appears from the recommendations made by them for national awards including Padamshree from the quota of J&K. Sources in the BJP said that without taking party leadership into confidence, BJP leaders have reportedly recommended names of as many as 100 persons for "Padamshree" award from the quota of Jammu and Kashmir State. Alas! recommendations for Padamshree awards were made for some female social workers, whose credentials are doubtful but BJP leaders have recommended their names for such prestigious awards on their personal letter heads. These recommendations were directly made to the Union Home Ministry. Some of these female social workers have themselves approached BJP leaders while some of them were approached by senior party leaders for recommending their names for Padamshree awards. Credible sources said that BJP leaders are not aware that there is proper procedure for selecting a person for Padamshree Award. They are thinking that their party is at the power in Centre so any recommendation made by them would be given serious considerations so they are not hesitating to make such recommendations. Although almost all the recommendations made by state BJP leaders have been thrown into the dustbin by the Central agencies after going through the credentials for candidates, this episode has exposed mindset of state BJP leaders who are treating themselves as all powerful.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
