One held for burying sheep alive, manhunt to nab absconding accused | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Jan 22: In an inhuman act, a theft accused in in order to hide its crime buried a sheep alive inside the store of his Shanty in remote Jalawalapur area of Bhunzwah Tehsil of Kishtwar District. According to police sources, the police later arrested the accused and also recovered the dead Sheep. As per the details available with "Early Times", one Rakesh Kumar son of Nand Ram resident of Balgaraan Bunjwah lodged complaint with police alleging therein that one Mohammad Ibrahim and Bashir Ahmed both sons of Sahab Din resident of Balgaraan have stolen his sheep. Quoting the complainant, police said, "According to complainant some unknown thieves have broken the lock of his cattle shed and decamped with one sheep on intervening night of Jan 16/17." He added that there after they made hard efforts in search of the stolen Sheep, but did not find it. He stated that yesterday he came to know that his Sheep was stolen by Ibrahim and his associates. After receiving the complaint, Police Post Incharge registered the cognizable report vide DD. No 10-2016 Dated 21/1/2016 at Police Post Jawalapur and started its investigation. Police sources said, "During the course of the investigation, the police party led by Sub Inspector Madan Lal reached the house of accused Mohammad Ibrahim, but the accused in a bid to protect himself from police sued females as protective shield to stop the police from carrying out the search of his house. "Police team got suspicious about fresh digging point in the store and after proper inspection of the spot it found Sheep buried alive." Accordingly police team arrested the accuse Mohammad Ibrahim while another accused manage to escape from the spot, police said. Police got the autopsy of Sheep by the team of Veterinary experts and registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Kishtwar. While talking to "Early Times" Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed Rishu confirmed the incident as well as the arrest of one of the accused. He added that massive manhunt has been launched to arrest the absconding accused. |
