Udhampur, Jan 22: District Vigilance Officer (Additional Deputy Commissioner) Udhampur Angrez Singh Rana along with PO DRDA Dr J C Mehra today conducted a surprise checking in the office of Block Development Officer (BDO) Tikri following some complaints of irregularities.
Sources said, the checking was conducted on the basis of complaint lodged by the Sarpanchs of the Tikri area, with regard to non-payments against the work done under MGNREGA and Swachh Bharat Mission by the BDO Tikri and un necessary holding the files by the staff of BDO office Tikri. "During the checking, record pertaining to payments has been seized and committee of officers has been seized to ascertain the cause behind the non submission of bills by the engineers and malpractices, if any adopted by the officer/officials of the BDO office Tikri, sources said.
Meanwhile a committee comprising Sukriti Sharma, District Panchayat Officer, Udhampur, Dr Pardeep Singh, BDO Udhampur, Simarjeet Singh, Additional Treasury officer, Udhampur and Uttam Singh, Assistant Director Planning has been entrusted the responsibility to probe for the lapses and submit the report to the District Vigilance officer within 15 days. |
