| 70th National football C'ship for Santosh trophy-North zone to start today | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5 : The 70th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy North Zone 2015-16 is being hosted by J&K Football Association at GGM Science College, Jammu from 6th Feb to 11th Feb as per fixtures enclosed. The organizing Secretary in a press statement said that around 8 State Teams of North Zone of India as per enclosed fixture, have been drawn by All India Football Federation in 2 Pools each of 4 Teams and the 4 Teams in each Pool shall play League against themselves, and Winner of each Pool shall qualify for Main Round of the Santosh Trophy to be held in 3rd Week of Feb. 2016 at Nagpur. The visiting teams shall be lodged in Hotels/Guests Houses around the Venue of the Matches as per their choice while AIFF has deputed Match Officials for Officiating who are being lodged in Circuit House Canal Road Jammu.
The Football field at GGM Sc College, M.A Stadium are being prepared and maintained by J&K State Sports Council who is also meeting the Cost of local arrangements like Internal Transport, smooth conduct of matches refreshment to teams, Match Officials, Technical Staff, Ground Staff etc.
J&K Police has been kind to extend all facilities & support for the smooth conduct of Matches, Internal transport of the Championship and the Matches shall be supervised by 2 Match Commissioners deputed by AIFF and also 8 qualified referees.
Lastly, he requested all of them and to kindly witness the Top Match of Football as per enclosed program for which the entry is free. He shared that J&K Football Team has been under Coaching from last 3 weeks by Hilal Rasool Parray AFC' A' Pro Coach while B.A Malik is Manger of the Team and Kamaljeet is the Team Captain. |
