BJP not bound to form Govt with PDP: Sofi Yousuf | | | Early Times Report Anantnag, Feb 5: Contrary to his party stand, Kashmir's lone BJP legislator Sofi Yousuf today said his party was not bound to form government with PDP as the party was ready for snap polls. "Through your medium I want to convey them (PDP) and public that BJP is not bound to form government with them in J&K," he told media persons in Aishmuqam area of the district after addressing a public gathering. "BJP is very much present on ground and works for the welfare of people of the state. We are ready for snap polls or may explore other options if PDP refuses to form government," he added. Yousuf said "If PDP does not form government in the state, it will harm the party and its political future". "We all know about the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who had promised overall development of the state which is need of the hour. If PDP backtracks, that would spoil the Mufti's vision. BJP will keep all the promises and implement the agenda of alliance in letter and spirit," he added. He claimed that his party had so far received many offers and could join hands with other parties to form government in the state in the public interest as the party has sought 10-day time from Governor N N Vohra. "We are not bound to form the government with PDP. Other options are also available. We have received many offers but it is PDP that has the largest number of seats and has to initiate the process and open the cards," he said. He said BJP was bound to implement 'agenda of alliance'. His party was ready for snap polls as well, he claimed.
