| SUF J&K condemns Admn interference in religious affairs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 9 : Sikh United Front (SUF) Jammu and Kashmir condemned the administrative interference in religious affairs.
Addressing media persons, Avtar Sing Khalsa, General Secretary Sikh United Front J&K said that demolition of the PIAO at Gurudwara Sheesh Ganj Chandni Chowk Delhi where as per Sikh traditions drinking water is being served to everyone irrespective of colour caste and religion, it's demolition by MCD under the garb of a court direction cannot be tolerated by Sikhs and the followers of the faith. He emphasized that this structure was part of the heritage structure of the Gurudwara Sheesh Ganj and it cannot be demolished under any direction from any authority. The demolition of the heritage structure by MCD Delhi smacks of certain conspiracy and designs to create a sense of insecurity among Sikh community which is condemnable and shall not be tolerated.
Mohinder Singh, Chief Organisor Bhai Kanhiya Nishkam Sewa Society, J&K said that Sikhs of J&K resent the action of MCD Delhi and further threatened to launch an agitation in case the demolished structure is not restored back to its original position forthwith. The Sikh organizations further complimented the efforts of S.Manjeet Singh GK president Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee who is a guiding light for the Panthak forces and Sikhs of J&K are fully behind him for all his Panthic actions.
These organizations assured Manjeet Singh all support and declared that they will abide by any decision taken by Manjeet Singh GK and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. |
