Rs 9500 fine realized from defaulters

JAMMU, Apr 9 : A team headed by Deputy Director (Supplies), Jugal Kishore Anand conducted inspections/market checking of various business establishments at Narwal, Sabji Market, Malik Market, Jammu University road.
During the inspections 11 defaulters were booked and a fine of Rs. 9500 was recovered on spot for violation of various provisions of Essential Commodities Act, i.e. non-display of rate lists, over charging, use of domestic cylinders for commercial purposes etc. The owners of all commercial establishments have been warned not to violate the provisions of Essential Commodities Act and adhere to the norms and rates notified from time to time.
