Two killed, five injured in separate road mishaps | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 14: Two persons were killed while five other sustained injuries in two separate incidents which took place at Nagrota and Saruinsar Road here today in Jammu region. According to police sources, one person was killed and two others received injuries in a road mishap when a bus on its way to Srinagar from Jammu rolled down at Panjgriyan on Thursday "Soon after the incident, the police team from Nagrota and locals of the area rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers, police sources said. They added that Police acting swiftly shifted the injured to the Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu however one on the injured succumbed to critical injuries while his identification yet has be ascertained. Meanwhile of identity of injured undergoing treatment has been ascertained as Bilal Ahmed and Mohd Sharif, both residents of Banihal, sources said, adding, "a case in this connection stands registered with the Nagrota Police." Yet in another road mishap one person got killed on spot while three others received injuries as the Bolero vehicle in which they were travelling in rolled down at Saruinsar, here on Thursday. As per police sources, the incident took place this noon when they were on their way to Saruinsar from Jammu. The deceased has been identified as Saloni Talwar of Bhagwati Nagar while the injured who are being hospitalized at GMC &H Jammu have been identified as Ashok Saini of Bhagwati Nagar, Nitu Abrol of Canal Road and Rahul Kumar of Kishanpur Manwal. Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this connection. |
