'Brokers' manage prize postings for tainted CAPD officials | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 14:Marginalized during the brief spell of governor's rule, the officers of the CAPD tainted in the multi crore carriage scam have managed plum postings as I/C ADs for themselves in the first reshuffle of the department after popular government took reins; courtesy 'brokers' within the department. Reliable sources told ET that anger is brewing amongst the peers in the department after tainted officials were posted as I/C ADs in Reasi and Rajouri districts. "Influential official posted as I/C AD Enforcement Jammu has been posted as I/C AD Reasi as he has render majority of service in Rajouri and another I/C AD who was attached to the Directorate of the CAPD Jammu has been posted as I/C AD Supplies Jammu despite 'pending inquiry'against him during his postings as TSO in year 2012 in sungri-chassana of Reasi District an FIR No 19/2012 also booked in the case. Sources divulge that CAPD official o is calling Shots in the department just because of his close allegiance with those at the helm of affairs. Appointed under SRO-43 as Junior Assistant, he has superseded his seniors and has been given two charges majority of the time. "He has 'dubious distinction' of making close proximity with Minister to adjust his blue-eyed and also manage his own plum postings" said a source in the Deptt. "Incumbent is a inspector kerosene oildistribution Jammu" he added. It is worthwhile to mention here that during Governor Rule Nazir shah who is being transferred from Rajouri and posted I/C AD Udhampur, Joginder Singh who is posted I/C AD Rajouri in place of Nazir shah, Ghar Singh and kewal krishen posted as I/C AD Enforcement Jammu were attached to the Directorate of CAPD, but just within one month, they have been transferred to violate the transfer policy. When contacted senior officer of the CAPD wishing anonymity said, "these transfer were affected at the behest of the some influential officials which clearly dented the transparency and accountability claims of the Minister". Despite repeated attempts, Director CAPD Jammu couldn't be connected for his comments. |
