Jammu, Apr 14: A constable was placed under suspension after he was found sleeping during duty hours here today.
Police spokesperson said, "During checking, SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta paid a surprise visit to naka point Seora Jammu late last night where the cop deployed on guard duty was found sleeping."
"Identified as Head Constable Gurmeet Singh No. 540/J was sleeping in the Guard Room and thus was placed under suspension", officials spokesperson said.
He added that the suspended cop was later attached to the District Police Line (DPL), Jammu. |
