Illegal road construction brought to halt ET Impact 4/14/2016 11:23:49 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 14: Immediately reacting to the peoples' demand to stop the construction works of illegal road from Barnara to Thumba in Nala Makol Panchayat of Distruct Rajouri, the station house officer of the area assured the delegations that the work would be stopped. The delegation of various people from different villages had approached the SHO Sunderbani with a plea that some illegal work of construction of te road was going on in the area on which influential contractors' mafia in connivance with some departments were constructing the road which was not under the knowledge of the various departments concerned for the assigning of the work. The influential leaders of the area too have warned the contractors to call off their illegal construction and rebuild the broken path with a warning not to approach the higher authorities for their misdeeds. This has come as a follow up reaction from the story covered by Early Times yesterday under the caption : Scot free road-mafia takes on district Rajouri. The three important departments related to the construction and developments of the roads in the district Rajouri had never knew what was being cooked up under its nose. The one and half kilometer new link road that stretches from village Barnara to Thumba in Nala Makol Panchyat was near about its completion while its DPR doesn't existed in the government records and the officials put up an ignorant point of view when asked as to whether any such kind of work was in progress under their jurisdiction.
