RSS unhappy over BJP handling of NIT issue | NIT issue | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 27: The more loyal than king attitude by the BJP and affiliated organizations in Jammu and Kashmir towards the burning issue of non-Kashmiri students of NIT Srinagar, is baffling Sangh Parivar leadership at top level. The high-level fact finding team of a Sangh Parivar outfit, which visited the State for two days, was shocked over the hostile reaction of BJP and its sister organizations towards the non-Kashmiri NIT students, who are not ready to return back to the college. According to the sources, during feedback interaction with leaders of the BJP and sister organizations besides the party ministers in the coalition Government, the RSS team noticed their `more loyal than king' attitude. Ironically, not only the ministers but even BJP leaders allegedly held the non-Kashmiri students responsible for the trouble on NIT campus. In support of their claim, sources added, these leaders said that National Flag was never an issue in the NIT Srinagar as the same was being hoisted in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley every year on Independence Day as well as on Republic Day. The BJP leaders are learnt to have further claimed that the non-Kashmiri students were un-necessarily raking up the issue of flag hoisting to gain sympathy and support of the entire country towards their others demands. The fact finding team of RSS analyzed that the BJP leaders are avoiding the NIT students to keep the party ministers and Deputy Chief Minister in good humour who in turn were ignoring the issue so that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti may not feel annoyed, sources explained. This was also judged by the visiting team from the fact that following the Chief Minister's refusal to meet them, Deputy Chief Minister also avoided them. |
