Jammu, May 10: Bari Brahmana police today claimed to have arrested a narcotic smuggler besides recovering 110 grams of Ganja (Cannabis) from his possession. Acase stands registered in this regard.
As per police sources, a Police Team headed by Inspector Yash Pal Singh Jamwal SHO P/S Bari-Brahmana under the supervision of Kulbir Handa, SDPO Bari-Brahmna, laid a surprise naka under the jurisdiction of P/S Bari Brahmana here today.
"During surprise Naka Checking near Om Hospital Bari-Brahmna, intercepted one Amar Singh s/o Khushal Singh of Juggi No. 365 Jamuna Calony Pakhowal Road Ludhiana Punjab A/P Trait Basti Bari-Brahmna on his way to SIDCO Chowk by foot, police sources said, adding, "and on his personal frisking police team recovered 110 grams of Ganjja from his possession."
Accordingly, the accused was arrested on the spot and a Case under FIR No: 57/2016 u/s 8/20 NDPS has been registered against accused at Police Station Bari-Brahmna while further investigations are on in this regard. |
