Early Times Report
Udhampur, May 10: Castigating the alliance government in existence with the support of BJP for its hypocritical approach to oppose introduction of NEET in J&K under the garb of Article 370 to which Party used to oppose earlier, Pawan Gupta, former Minister and MLA Udhampur today accused party of having adopted 'double standard' of principles. He also sought BJP to clarify its stance on the proposed Sainik Colony in Kashmir
Pawan Gupta stated this while addressing a press conference today at Udhampur here today.
Meanwhile he welcomed the historical judgment of Supreme Court rejecting the petition of state to hold entrance test for MBBS/BDS admission through its own entrance test mechanism enjoining upon all the States that all admissions to MBBS/BDS courses in private, government medical colleges to be done through the mode of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) to maintain uniformity if any.
Assailing the BJP for projecting itself more as a puppet than an alliance partner with PDP, which had been creating uproar on issues of even of trivial nature while in opposition, former minister said that the decision of the Supreme Court has served a strong blow on the face of BJP which is shameful.
Meanwhile supporting proposed move of the government to set up Sainik Colony, Pawan Gupta, questioned BJP for parroting nationalism day in and day out and now maintaining studied silence on this issue. He said that the public of Jammu would like to know the reasons for the same and demanded from the BJP to clear its position on this account.
Besides, reminding the last year's issue of discrimination, Pawan Gupta assailed the apathetic attitude of BJP asked it as to why two Dy Advocate Generals were shown the doors as also the Public Prosecutor, who was the son of BJP legislator, Dina Nath Bhagat from Chenani. Further he ridiculed the BJP for always complaining and raising the boggy of step motherly treatment with the people of Jammu not itself has become a partner of discriminatory policy, which still not only continuing but it has increased manifold.
