Poonch, May 10: People of Harni in Mendhar have urged the higher authorities of Revenue Department to Shift the Naib Tehsildar of Harni as he has indulged in corrupt practices in the area.
Sources said that Mohd Kabir, Naib Tehsildar Harni has been indulged in corrupt practices and was according illegal girdawaris to people in lieu of monetary benefits. In the recent past he has accorded 16 illegal girdawaris of land situated in compartment No. 163 under Khasra No. 197 min measuring 76 kanals.
There was many complaints against the official who in connivance with patwari of the area and others was according illegal girdawaris to influential people in lieu of monetary benefits, sources added. "He is a very corrupt person and should be immediately shifted from this place", said a local resident Ab Hamid adding Naib Tehsildar has been harassing the poor villagers in one pretext or the other. People of the area urged District Development Commissioner to pay a visit to area to check the bungling the Naib Tehsildar has been involved in.
