Man denied bail in suicide abetment case 5/11/2016 10:59:31 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Jammu, Sunit Gupta today denied bail to a man in an abetment to suicide case. According to police case, Sunil Kumar is accused of abetting the suicide of his wife Veenu Kapoor. The woman had hanged herself to death after Sunil allegedly teased her to give him money for gambling. Sunil was then arrested and booked by police under section 306 of RPC. The CJM, after hearing the CPO and a senior PO, observed that perusal of the CD file revealed that some witnesses had levelled allegations of atrocities and cruelties meted out to the woman at the hands of her husband which had ultimately led to her suicide. The prosecution submitted that the case was various heinous.
