| SI victimizes informer, favours accused | | |

Jammu, May 11: In a shocking incident of misusing the official position, an in-charge of a police post in Jammu city indicted the informer in a fake case while allowing the accused to go scot free against whom he had complaint for immoral activities.
Police sources said that a civilian called Police Control Room (PCR) last week but the operator in the PCR gave mobile number of the in-charge police post, a Sub-Inspector and asked him to share the information with him.
"As the civilian informed the in-charge police post about the immoral activities going on in a house, the in-charge police post sent a cop in the house who picked up the owner of the house setting the woman free", said police sources, adding that the owner of the house was also let free by the SI within minutes after he was called in the police post by the SI.
Sources further claimed that the SI booked him and was bailed out by filing bond and fine infront of Tehsildar.
Sources further claimed that SI has been hand in glove with the anti-social elements for money and was also facing an inquiry. |
