Jammuites face acute scarcity of water, power | BJP Ministers holding darbars in pleasant Valley | | ET Report Jammu, May 11: While as entire Jammu region is struggling to get power and drinking water amid scorching heat, BJP Ministers, to whom people of this region had given over-whelming mandate, today conducted public darbar in different districts of Kashmir province to listen grievances of people there. It is really nice gesture that BJP Ministers today conducted public darbar at various parts of Kashmir Valley but woes of people of Jammu province were increasing with every passing day with the rise in temperature. Holding protests against non availability of drinking water and power has become a routine affair in most parts of Jammu province but BJP Ministers, who are representatives of Jammu people, have no time to listen to peoples' grievances. Shockingly, BJP high-command had directed party Ministers to hold public darbars at all district headquarters of Kashmir Valley on May 11 to take stock of the problems being faced by the people. BJP high-command had not directed its party Ministers to look into ever increasing woes of the residents of Jammu regions who are struggling to get even a drop of potable water in Kandi belts of the constituencies being represented by party Ministers. BJP Ministers are themselves not interest to stay at Jammu during summer. They too appeared to the more interested in holding public darbar in different areas of Valley where weather is very pleasant. During a meeting of BJP leaders on Friday, National Vice President & J&K Prabhari AvinashRaiKhanna, had announced that the party has decided to depute BJP Ministers to hold public darbar in all the districts of Kashmir on May 11 for direct interaction with the people in their respective districts with an objective of taking stock of their day to day problems and get the same resolved on the spot. Khanna further said that during these days of summers, the people need regular supply of electricity and water and the Ministers, MLAs, MLCs should ensure that no one is made to suffer. |
