Two daily wagers electrocuted 6/27/2016 11:11:39 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 27 : Two daily wagers working with Power Development Department were electrocuted and another seriously injured while working on an 11 KV high tension wire at Seri Pandita on the outskirts of Jammu city on Monday. The deceased has been identified as KewalKrishan (40) son of ChunniLal of Kannachak and Devi Singh (35) son of Chanchal Singh while identity of the injured has been established as Sanjeev Singh son of Babu Singh of Kannachak. Police said that KewalKrishan died on spot while ChunniLal died during treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) while condition of Sanjeev was stated to be critical. After autopsy, both the bodies were handed over to family members for last rites. Officiating Chief Engineer Ashwani Gupta said that the daily wagers were not officially deputed on the high tension wire, neither they had taken any power shut down from the department. However, a departmental inquiry has been ordered into the matter, he added.
