Influential SHO's cousin collects 'hafta' for him 6/28/2016 12:05:00 AM Early Times Report jammu, June 27: A civilian who happened to cousin of a sub-inspector who is posted as Station House officer (SHO) of one of the police station in rural belt of the Jammu district is indulged into collection of money at the behest of SHO. According to police sources, one can easily notice presence of SHO's cousin in the police station in day time and rarely he can also be seen in the police station during night hours. Police sources further maintained that cousin of the SHO has fixed rates for all the things get done like lodging of missing report, verifications and lodging of FIRs too. Most of the locals have knowledge about the nexus of SHO and his cousin and there so many cases in which cousin of the SHO had struck deal to shield the culprits. Astonishingly, SHO through his cousin has also fixed rate for torturing the parties who had enimities with their associates. "Influence of the SHO can only be gauged from the fact that he used his influence and stayed the transfers of his two 'karyakhas", said a police source. Sources further claimed that karyakhaas of SHO also used to collect money for the SHO in different cases.
