| | | India mourns martyrdom of 8 brave hearts, demands action against perpetrators Early Times Report
Jammu, June 27: Voices to seek action against the Pakistan and the militants sponsored by it are becoming shriller. The killing of eight Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel at Pampore near Srinagar has triggered outrage across the country and the people are demanding action against Pakistan and the militant handlers, who are sitting across the Line of Control (LoC). Taking cue from the prevailing anger in the country and in the Jammu region against the attack on CRPF men, the BJP legislators on Monday raised anti-Pakistan slogans inside the Assembly in Srinagar and also called for aerial bombing of militant camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to avenge the killings of eight CRPF men in Pampore attack. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "The BJP led NDA government has to act against Pakistan and the militant handlers to put an end to bloodshed. From Pathankot to Pampore it has been a long journey and Pakistan considers our desire for peace as our weakness. We lost eight brave hearts and the entire nation is mourning their demise. Our mourning should not end with passing condolences and expressing sympathies with the bereaved families. It should go beyond that. The best tributes to all the brave hearts, who have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by the Pakistani militants, would be to take decisive action against the Pakistan and bombard all the militant camps in PoK." A retired army official said, "We can't say that Pakistan is fighting a proxy war. It's fighting a full-fledged conventional war with India by carrying out attacks on our soldiers. Time has come to give a befitting reply to Pakistan by entering into their territory and attacking their army and their stooges." He said, "We can't keep on saying that we have defeated Pakistan on diplomatic level and world community is with India. These talks are not helping our cause as Pakistan is leaves no opportunity to backstab us." A defence analyst said, "Mere statements like we have asked soldiers to retaliate and keep no count of bullets are a mere rhetoric. These statements have to be implemented practically. I don't understand why we have to retaliate only. Why can't we attack? The BJP led NDA government is following the policy of erstwhile Congress led UPA regime. The need of the hour is to attack PoK and make the enemy taste his own medicine." |
