EDs weighing 24 Kgs recovered by MI 6/27/2016 11:11:58 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, June 27 : In a major success, the Military Intelligence (MI) and Army have recovered four Improvised Electronic Devices (IEDs) from Uri sector near Line of Control (LoC). According to the reports from reliable sources, four IEDs weighing approximately six Kgs each were recovered near LoC by Military Intelligence (MI) and 04 JAKLI. Reports said that terrorists has used plastic explosive in plastic boxes with electrical circuits making it difficult to detect by security forces but the alert jawans of the MI traced it out and thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists. Sources further said that as these IEDs were placed on the road near LoC in Uri sector which is being used by Karvan-e-Aman bus service and trucks of cross LoC trade. The terrorists might have planned these IEDs to target the bus to derail the peace in the region which could lead to another confrontation between the two nations.
