6/27/2016 11:32:09 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 27: Taking dig upon BJP led Central Government over 'spurt in terror attacks', the Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said instead of condemning and issuing statements the Government both at Centre and in the State is expected to act forcefully against the terrorists and terrorism as well giving a loud and clear signal of zero tolerance on terrorism. Taking serious exception to increasing terrorist violence in Valley, VHP senior leader and former president, criticized the role of Union Government in tackling terrorism in the State.
He said that administration and security force are under pressure to be soft on terror and he asked if it will be our policy then what will happen to Kashmir in future.
He said that administration and security forces are under pressure not to be aggressive on terrorists while the leaders are shedding crocodile tears on terror attacks are befooling the nation. "Our ministers both in Delhi and even in the State have been giving statements only and the die-hard terrorists who are highly indoctrinated by their mentors across the border hardly bother for these statements'', said Raj Kumar Bhagat a social activist from a remote village in erstwhile Doda district.
India should take a tough stand now and smash the terrorist camps across border, he said, adding the BJP over the years has created an impression across the country that after coming to power it will smash the terrorist camps across the border.
"But situation yet has not changed for the people of country in general and J&K in particular after change of guard at Delhi over two years, he said.
Ghulam Qadir a political activist from Kashmir also hummed the similar tones, and asked how long Kashmiris have to suffer through the hands of merchants of death. He said it is high time for all political parties whether in government or in opposition to join hands and declare the terrorists as enemies of nation and mankind and take a unanimous stand for evolving a strategy to eliminate it without any consideration of vote bank politics.
If nation adopts a concrete and effective policy and strategy against terror they will never succeed in their game plan if all Pakistanis will be at their back, said Ramesh Pandit a displaced Pandit from Valley.
