Early Times Report
Jammu, July 15: Senior Vice President JKPCC & Former Minister Congress Sham Lal Sharma today expressed his surprise over the hue and cry raised on the killing of Burhan Wani who was a militant and carrying Rs 10 lakh on his head. He said that there was no requirement for bandh or strikes over his killing. He was a terrorist and got the same treatment of a militant. He further said that Burhan is responsible for killing police personal, Sarpanches and other innocent people of his own community. The people of valley should celebrate his killing instead of grief. Sham took a dig on BJP Ministers/Legislators for being mute spectators and have no courage to speak about the sufferings of Amarnath Yatris. He further said that the Amarnath Yatris are facing great difficulties due to volatile situation in the valley and it's repercussions on the Amarnath Yatra. The Yatris are stranded at various places at the mercy of God. The BJP leaders who considered themselves leaders of Hindu's has turned a blind eye over this issue. He said that the Kashmiri Pandits who were employed under PM package in the Kashmir valley feel themselves insecure as in one of the transit accommodations; the mob pelted stones and also made a bid to attack these Kashmiri Pandits. He also said that most of the Kashmiri Pandits have come back to Jammu for security reasons and feeling unsecured to return back in the prevailing situation. None of the BJP Ministers visited Kashmiri Pandits camps to enquire about their safety and welfare. Sham alleged that during BJP-PDP Govt.the militancy in the valley has increased more than 47% in the last one and half year and of late the intensity of militants activity has increased many fold.
