| Diploma Engineers discusses problem faced by cadre | | Urges Central Body to call meeting | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 27: Diploma Engineers today discussed numerous problem being faced by their cadre, particularly stagnated at the level of the Junior Engineer post in a meeting held here today.
On the occasion, members had shown their anguish over the working of the present Diploma Engineers central body office bearers, who have brought the credibility of DEA to its lowest ebb and are indulging infighting among themselves and with to the other senior engineers of the department to get them choice posting, sections and drawing of payments.
They had also tried to evaluate the meeting that whether the present central body have succeeded in any way to meet up with any of their manifesto demands, which they had brought before the members nearing three years back at the time of election or either have they process any of their demands at an appropriate stage.
Some members had invited the attention of members about the statement issued by the central body on Sunday . The members present had also introspect and made to self-analyzed how, who and where members had done wrong in choosing the team to represent their cadre, who in-tum further add to their woes ancf have become incoherent. They also applause the effort made by the old central body who had carried forward the cadre in resolving the stagnation in a large.
The members with one voice while appreciating the role of runner up team, which was led by Er VK Trikha of showing their utmost patience and restrain in the past three years and had always presented full support to the central body whenever they represent cadre cause. The members with utter patience had suggested with a voice vote of ardent need for the promulgation with the formation of "Council of Engineers" that shall update and apprise the diploma engineers members about their loss of precious three years which they shall have considered as a "black years of their service career" and have also resolve for the mobilization for their readiness and participation in the ensuing election of All J&K Diploma Engineers Association, since tenure of the existing central body is going to be exhaust at the end of September this year. Further they have also suggested to form coordination, committee at all the District level and of different sister department to make awareness to reach out up to every nook and corner.
They have appealed the present central body to call a general house meeting to present their report card of work of the last three years and also the position at which stage they projected demands files are kept in place so that members could judge them in their working performance if any.
Speakers, while their address to the members highlights the burning issue of the cadre and had requested each members to mobilize at least three members in their surroundings and ask them to further mobilize three more to give impetus to the ensuing election process in order to safeguard the cadre.
The members who have been authorized to represent the council of Engineers henceforth included Er Sunil Sharma Chairman, Er Kuldeep Singh Katoch Vice Chairman, while Er VK Trikha, Er Ramakant Khajura, Er Kulbir Singh, Er Sunil Abrol, Er Randeep Singh, Er Romesh Sharma, Er SL Raina, Er Deepa Sharma, Er Ganesh Singh Baloria, Er SA Naik, Er Sukhdev Singh and Er Anil Bakhari have been made members. |
