| BDOs attend MLA's 'public meet' people suffer | | | MS Nazki

Poonch July 28: A public meet was organized at block Balakote by the local MLA Javed Rana (NC) to listen to the problems of people of the area the employees of tehsils of Mankote and Mendhar including BDOs were also present in this meeting putting people to face problems to get their official works done.
According to reports Block Development officers of different blocks of this district attend MLA's meet at Balakote while tehsil offices work in Mankote and Mendhar remained affected due to absence of BDOs, the sources said here todya.
While sharing his views with Early TImes a PDP youth leader Showkat ali Khn said, "When concerned BDO of Balakote along with other employees was present there during the meet why the other BDOs felt necessity to join in the meeting."
"Their appeasing policty to MLA had left people of their respective areas to suffer, he said, adding, "they forget the duties and let people suffer."
Another local Shakeel Mughal said that he had gone to get some work done at Tehsil office Mankote but as the BDO was not present there the work remained affected." "Now I have to go to another day to visit the office again, Shakeel lamented.
"If a MLA is organizing a public Meet in a particular block, only the concerned BDO shall be made to attend meet while others shall be excused, he added.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch briefly said that there was no need of employees of Block Development office to be part of any public meet. "Block Development Office staff has their own work and they should prefer to concentrate only on particular work and a circular in this regard will be forwarded in this regard very soon, the DDC added. |
